Covid-19 Practice Update

It is our responsibility to ensure the safety of our staff and at the same time able to offer the high standard of care to you and your pets. We are outlining here what we would like all our clients to adhere to through this time.

We are now going CASHLESS, please either pay over the phone before your arrival OR card at the practice when in for a consultation.

We are also reducing our consultation availability, BUT offering callbacks and triage calls over the phone and even offering consultations over the phone by a vet. We are trying to diagnose and provide medications this way but we also will advise you or someone to bring your pet in IF we feel it is in your pets interest to have a physical examination.

We are posting medications out, so when you call please ask for postage of your medication so we limit the amount of people coming into the practice.

LETTER TO CLIENTS

Dear Valued Customer,

You may have noticed on either our Facebook page or website we have been advising our clients of the changes we are having to make to our cleaning protocols and ways we are controlling groups of people within our reception area.

We have received lots of phone calls asking us what they do if we are closed, this is what we have in place:

We are trying our absolute hardest to continue to stay open and available to you all at this difficult time.  We will soon be able to offer Video Consults but at present we are offering a triage call service.  If you are self-isolating, have a persistent cough and/or have a fever then we are advising not to come to the practice at this point.  We advise you to request to be added to our call back list and a Veterinary Nurse will call you to discuss your needs and then will either elevate to a consultation by phone with a vet or arrange a way you and your pet can be physically seen at the surgery.  If the vet provides a consultation over the phone, then we will still charge a consultation and arrange to make payment over the phone after the call.

If your pet has an ongoing health condition and you are concerned with running out of medication, we advise to keep an extra stock at home which will last you a little longer than normal.  Please request this when ordering online or phoning the practice.

IF WE ARE CLOSED?

If we have no option but to CLOSE we have put things in place to still be able to help you and your pets.  We are in talks with other local Veterinary practices and are supporting each other through this period.  So, if we are closed and you are in desperate need of medication our vets have access to your pets records 24/7 and will be able to advise or supply a prescription to another practice to get your pets medication for you.

We are hoping to only be closed for a short period in order to do a deep clean of the practice.  We will keep updates of any changes on our Facebook page and website so please like our page and share when you can.

We will also have to offer an EMERGENCY ONLY service and there will be a possibility we have to send you and your pet to another Out of Hours practice for the interest of the health of your pet.
