Veterinary Surgeon and owner of Borden Lane Veterinary Surgery
Soon after my graduation from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural School in Denmark, I started working for Mr P.J.Flower on Sheppey.
In 1996 I joined the Sittingbourne branch. Mr Flower retired in 2004 and I then became the proud owner of Borden Lane Veterinary Surgery.
I love my job as a vet. Our surgery has been part of the local community for decades and I believe we have created a wonderful rapport with our clients. I am very fortunate to work with a great team of dedicated vets, nurses, receptionists and support staff who all work with passion and enthusiasm for our clients and their beloved pets. Being pet parents ourselves, we understand how pets are part of our families and how important it is for us that our pets have happy, long healthy lives.
I am the happiest when I can promote and protect that special bond between the owners and their pets.
Outside work my own pets demand my attention and with 2 dogs that amounts to a lot of walks with prepares me for the various treks and challenges I like to undertake.

Hi, I’m Michaela! I joined the Borden Lane team in January 2024, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a dedicated group. I graduated from University College Dublin in 2021 and grew up on a farm on Ireland’s beautiful west coast, where my love for animals began. Before coming to Borden Lane, I worked in a mixed practice at a small, independent clinic in Wales for two years.
I’m especially passionate about small animal medicine, and I love meeting all the pets (and owners!) who come through our doors. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll probably find me out running or at the gym – I love staying active!
I’m so excited to get to know you and your pets, and I’m here to help in any way I can!
